Seven of the winning processerapplicants were affiliated with the winning grower applicants. However, these winning pre-approvals does not guarantee a license. Each entity must complete the second stage of the process by complying with the regulatory requirements and having in-depth background/financial audits completed.

Growers will cultivate numerous strains of premiere, medical grade cannabis, with varying THC and CBD contents. The Processors will then manufacture those strains into numerous pharmaceutical grade, cannabis-infused products such as oils, pills, capsules, tinctures, sublingual sprays, inhaled products and topical applications. It is expected that these companies will work feverishly to complete their build outs and final inspections. The goal is to complete this process as fast as possible in order to provide medicine to Maryland’s dispensaries, but more importantly, the to help the numerous patients in need of medical cannabis.
